Strategically placed at the first turn, patrons in wheelchairs and their companions can witness intense racing action as drivers attempt to outmanoeuvre each other for the best position at Sheares (Turn 1) after decelerating from speeds of up to 290km/h from the Pit Straight.
The 2017 race saw one of the most dramatic starts at the Singapore Grand Prix. A spectacular collision right after the start line took out Max Verstappen’s Red Bull and Ferrari’s Kimi Räikkönen immediately, while Ferrari’s Sebastien Vettel spun out seconds later.
Do note that whilst many areas within the Circuit Park are accessible, in many instances, the condition of several walkways as well as the positions of the Circuit Park's gates, barriers, overpasses and underpasses restrict access to various parts of the terrain on wheelchair.
Each patron on a wheelchair can have up to two companions on the Wheelchair Accessible Platform, who each have to purchase the same ticket for entry. These companions will be provided with seats beside the wheelchair slots on the wheelchair-accessible platforms.
Patrons enjoy complimentary rides on the Singapore Flyer on a first-come, first-served basis (subject to availability)
Patrons have access to zones 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as the performance stages throughout the Circuit Park, including the Zone 4 Padang Stage and Zone 1 Wharf Stage.
