With commanding views of the inside of Turns 1 to 3, the Chicane @ Turn 2 Grandstand places you at the centre of the action as drivers fight for position through one of the circuit's key overtaking zones. From the race start to the closing laps, watch the field navigate the opening sequence of corners where bold moves, strategic gambles and race-defining moments frequently unfold.

In 2023, Alpine’s Esteban Ocon lost power in lap 43 due to a suspected gearbox issue and stopped at Turn 2 despite an impressive drive, having climbed to sixth place from twelfth position. The issue triggered a virtual safety car, which led to a strategic double-stack by Mercedes, setting up a grandstand finish for the Silver Arrows.

In 2019, Toro Rosso's Daniil Kvyat and Alfa Romeo's Kimi Räikkönen collided at Turn 1 just 11 laps before the chequered flag was waved, resulting in the Finnish driver’s retirement and the deployment of the Safety Car.
