Additional performances confirmed for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2024
22 August 2024, Singapore – The race-weekend programming is set to be even more electrifying, with American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars and Indonesian heavy metal band Voice Of Baceprot added to the entertainment roster at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2024. In addition, the previously announced Australian singer Kylie Minogue will perform a second show over the race weekend.
This adds to the previously announced entertainment line-up which features over 100 hours of entertainment by OneRepublic, Kylie Minogue, Lenny Kravitz, Disclosure (DJ), The Corrs, Kool & the Gang, Tones & I, BABYMONSTER, HONNE and more.
Thirty Seconds to Mars |Friday 20 September Zone 1 Wharf Stage & Sunday 22 September Zone 4 Padang Stage
The alternative rock duo first came into the spotlight with the mainstream success of their single The Kill from their second album A Beautiful Lie, and have since sold over 15 million albums worldwide and recorded over two billion streams online to date. Comprising brothers Jared Leto and Shannon Leto, the duo is known for their experimental progressive rock sounds, fusing elements from a wide variety of genres to create anthemic hits like From Yesterday as well as Kings and Queens.
The siblings have clinched Best International Band three times at the Kerrang! Awards and won nine times at the MTV Europe Music Awards. They have also been nominated at the Billboard Music Awards, taking home the Modern Rock Artist of the Year award in 2007. Catch Thirty Seconds to Mars at the Wharf Stage on Friday, 20 September, and prior to the Formula 1 race at the Padang Stage on Sunday, 22 September.
Second set confirmed for Kylie Minogue
Due to popular demand, Australian singer Kylie Minogue will give a second performance over the race weekend at the Zone 1 Wharf Stage on Sunday, 22 September. This is in addition to the Princess of Pop’s previously announced set at the Zone 4 Padang Stage on Saturday, 21 September.
Voice Of Baceprot | Friday, 20 September, Zone 4 Downtown Stage
All-female heavy metal band Voice Of Baceprot are set to perform at the home of Formula 1 night racing. Founded in 2014 when the members were just 14 years-old, the hijab-wearing rockers made history in June by becoming the first Indonesian band to play at the legendary Glastonbury Festival.
Known for their gutsiness and non-conformism, the trailblazing trio addresses issues such as gender inequality and climate change in their music, earning them a spot in Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list for Class of 2024’s entertainment and sports field. Their 2021 English single God, Allow Me (Please) To Make Music has been viewed over five million times on YouTube and chalked up more than 1.2 million streams on Spotify.
