The lead vocalist and co-founder of the iconic hip-hop phenomenon Run-D.M.C. has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, and became the first rappers to receive the Recording Academy’s Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.
