London-based quartet PREP have spent the past decade refining a sound that bridges eras and hemispheres. Formed in 2015, the band’s lush blend of 1970s jazz, West Coast US rock and soul as well as Japanese City Pop is elevated by the precision of 1980s studio craft and a distinctly modern London sound. With two acclaimed albums—PREP (2020) and The Programme (2024)—and a string of EPs, they’ve built a reputation for warm, intimate production that resonates on arena stages worldwide. Their latest release, One Day in the Sun, showcases sounds of saxophone, grooves and timeless pop, while featuring global collaborations with Taiwanese stars Sunset Rollercoaster.
