First wave of stellar entertainment line-up set to dazzle at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022More tickets for the Formula 1 night race will be available for sale from 24 May
23 May 2022, Singapore – The stage is set for a mega blockbuster race weekend, as event organiser Singapore GP Pte Ltd unveils the first wave of acts on what will be a stellar entertainment programme for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022. This first announcement of Padang Stage acts features Marshmello, Westlife and Green Day to top off the scintillating action as the F1 night race gets back on track at the Marina Bay Street Circuit this 30 September to 2 October for Singapore’s biggest party in three years. The final line-up will include more than 75 performances over the three-day event across eight stages in the Circuit Park, together with roaming performers as well as an array of displays and activities to enthral crowds.
Marshmello (30 September)
Grammy-nominated Marshmello's star continues to rise as the famously masked artist breaks boundaries across the industry. With chart-topping singles and collaborations with the likes of Juice WRLD, Halsey, Demi Lovato, Bastille, Kane Brown, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, and more, Marshmello has clocked almost a staggering 12 billion streams across Spotify alone. With almost 40 million monthly listeners on the platform, he is one of the top 40 most streamed artists in the world on Spotify and the third most subscribed artist on YouTube. Featured on the cover of the Forbes magazine ‘30 Under 30’ issue, Marshmello has proved to not only be an innovative producer, but a forward-thinking businessman. With his own brand of chocolate-filled marshmallows (‘Stuffed Puffs’), he has also launched a children’s entertainment channel, Mellodees. Most recently, Marshmello collaborated with the Jonas Brothers on their early summer smash Leave Before You Love Me, which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was also nominated for the best dance/electronic album at the 2022 Grammys. Marshmello is set to perform at the Zone 4 Padang Stage on Friday, 30 September.
Westlife (1 October)
One of the most successful boy bands of all time, Westlife consists of vocalists Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nick Byrne. Since the creation of the Irish group in 1998, 14 of their singles and eight of their 12 studio albums have reached number one on British charts. The prolific chart-toppers whose hits include Swear It Again, Flying Without Wings, If I Let You Go, and My Love, have received numerous accolades, including one World Music Award, two Brit Awards, four MTV Awards, and four Record of the Year Awards. To date, the boyband has recorded a total of more than 24 million in sales in the United Kingdom. Fans can catch Westlife’s ‘The Wild Dreams Tour’ at the Padang Stage in Zone 4 on Saturday, 1 October.
Green Day (2 October)
Legendary American punk group Green Day, is set to rock the Padang Stage in Zone 4 on Sunday, 2 October. Made up of vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tré Cool, Green Day is one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, with more than 70 million records sold worldwide and over 10 billion streams including their breakout album Dookie which achieved diamond status. The five-time Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees are widely credited with popularising and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock, catapulting a career-long run of #1 hit singles including American Idiot, Good Riddance (Time of Your Life), Wake Me Up When September Ends and more.
More acts will be unveiled in the coming weeks to complete the fantastic entertainment programme for the return of the Formula 1 to the streets of Singapore. The artist line-up is subject to change.
All tickets to the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022 will have access to the Padang Stage in Zone 4. Patrons will need to ensure that they have a valid ticket on the relevant day of an act’s performance.
More tickets to be released
Additional walkabout and single-day grandstand tickets to the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2022 will be available for sale in the coming days. The first release of ticket sales in early April sold out within hours due to the enormous demand and similar interest is expected for the upcoming releases.
Zone 4 and Premier Walkabout tickets will go on sale from 24 May, 10am (Singapore time). Tickets in this category are available as single-day options priced from S$98 for a Friday Zone 4 Walkabout ticket, and three-day tickets from S$288 (see ANNEX A for ticket prices). All walkabout ticket holders will have access to strategically located viewing bleachers as well as concerts on the Padang Stage.
A limited release of single-day grandstand tickets will be available for sale from 26 May, 10am (Singapore time). Prices start from $98 for a Bay Grandstand (Friday) ticket (see ANNEX A for ticket prices).
