TOUTING FEARS PROMPT TICKET PRECAUTIONS - Singapore GP acts to protect race patrons

14 September 2016, Singapore - Reports of touting before this weekend’s 2016 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX have prompted race promoter Singapore GP to protect bona fide race patrons by setting tickets aside in a number of categories for sale on-site only.

Reselling is forbidden in order to discourage the touting or hoarding of tickets. This is meant to protect the interest of genuine fans.

Buyers breach the Conditions of Sale and Entry if they resell tickets or purchase tickets from an unauthorised agent. Such tickets could be voided and the ticket holder may be refused entry to the race. Last year Singapore GP acted against unauthorised resellers, and will not hesitate to do so again.

In order to prevent this happening again, Singapore GP has therefore set aside a number of tickets within the current allocation for purchase at the official outlets listed below only.

Tickets can be obtained at selected gates at the Circuit Park from 16 to 18 September as well as the Ticket Collection Centre at the Raffles City Convention Centre (Swissotel The Stamford, Level 4) from 10am to 10pm daily until 18 September.

As remaining tickets are selling fast, patrons who have not yet made their purchase are encouraged to act quickly. Information on available ticket categories is available online at and via the ticketing hotline at +65-6738 6738.
